This hotel's best selling point is its ideal location. It is situated twenty metres from the Duomo, ten metres from Piazza Repubblica, a two minute walk from Ponte Vecchio and a five minute walk from the train station. Dante Alighieri's (Italy's most famous author) house is a stone's throw away.
The rooms are small with basic furniture, some with a view over the Duomo. All the rooms are without private bathroom facilities. THERE ARE NO ENSUITE BATHROOMS - THEY ARE COMMUNAL AND USED BY ALL GUESTS.
This is a tall seven storey palazzo in the traditional Italian style. It blends in well with the surrounding buildings. The lobby is small and located on the fifth floor. It can be reached by using the hotel's only lift or by using the stairs.
In the summer the hotel opens its rooftop terrace where guests can relax, sunbathe or simply enjoy the spectacular view of the Duomo which appears almost close enough to touch. There is no doubt that this family run hotel is in some need of refurbishment, however, this hotel offers excellent value for money.
